Thought for the Day....

When we lose twenty pounds... we may be losing the twenty best pounds we have! We may be losing the pounds that contain our genius, our humanity, our love and honesty. ~Woody Allen

  1. I know what I will loose. Grunting when I get up, tight pants, anger at myself, more relief from my bad back - Hmmmm - I know that my genius, humanity, love and honesty is not in any pounds I would lose. Funny quote, though. Marcia

  2. I am glad you are going to lose all those things!! I debated on putting this quote out there (you know how I sometimes over think things) because I was afraid people would be offended -- I certainly am a person who believes our weight has nothing to do with our genius, humanity, love or honesty. However.... how many times do we dumb down our eating plans (follow a diet prescribe by an "expert"), speak to ourselves badly when we eat in a way we think we shouldn't, or over/under sell our achievements in the rest of our lives because we haven't been as successful as we would wish losing weight?

How often do we turn our wonderful gifts to the world against ourselves because of the size pants we wear?
